  • With graduation over, a new direction begins! I started as the Promotions Director for Radio 1190 at the beginning of the semester in August 2024. I wanted to use my background in social media and communications to build the station’s brand—because I wanted people to love and appreciate it as much as I did. After many months of feeling like the work I was doing could never fully express my knowledge and experience in the field—and with imposter syndrome being my biggest obstacle—the station kept me open-minded and optimistic. Radio 1190 gave me the opportunity to do what I love most: create content and experience the music scene. I built my portfolio in concert photography and live music journalism, which continues to broaden my horizons. I hope you all enjoyed the content I shared as much as I enjoyed creating it for you. I may have graduated, but I’ll be doing an alumni show for as long as I can—because the music is the reason I joined in the first place. This is Promotions Director Jasmyn, signing off <3
