The following rules apply to all contests (“Contests”) sponsored or presented by KVCU Radio 1190 (“Station”), broadcast on the air at 1190 AM and/or promoted online via 1190.radio or official Station social media accounts. Due to delays in Station’s online stream, participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts in order to participate. By participating in any Station Contest, participants agree to abide by these rules as published.
Eligibility
Prizes are provided to Station in exchange for promotional consideration and vary based on timing, promotional partners, and other factors. Prize redemption will vary. Depending on the contest, concert/event ticket prizes may be redeemed at will call at the applicable concert venue (requiring photo identification), via digital transfer to an online ticketing account, sent to a winner via U.S. postal mail, or picked up in person at the Station. Redemption method will be indicated at the time the prize is won. Tickets and physical prizes may be mailed domestically, but Station is not responsible for misdelivered, non-delivered, or damaged prizes.
All winners redeeming a prize in person must bring valid photo identification when claiming their prize. All non-ticket prizes must be claimed within ninety (90) days of winning. The winner must claim their prize at the Station office (University Memorial Center, University of Colorado Boulder, 1669 Euclid Ave., Boulder, CO 80302) at a time agreed upon by a station manager and the winner. If any non-ticket prize is not claimed within 90 days or if any ticketed prize by 5 p.m. the day of the event, it will be forfeited by the winner and will become the property of the Station. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on prizes, if applicable. Value of the prize is its Fair Market Value, which is defined by the IRS in IRS Publication 561. Prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash, except that Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value.
Conditions
No purchase or donation is necessary to enter. Participants may not win more than one instance of a prize (e.g. more than one pair of tickets to the same event) during the same contest period. Should an event be canceled or rescheduled for any reason, the contest will be considered void and no substitute prize will be awarded. Station is not responsible for any event cancellation or rescheduling. Additionally, Station assumes no liability for any risk, injury, or damage sustained as a result of attending a contest-related event, nor any liability for a winner’s failure to attend the event, including nondelivery of tickets via email, postal mail, or other means. Contest is void where prohibited.
