Who we are

Radio 1190 is the radio station of the University of Colorado. We operate under an FCC noncommercial license at 1190 AM, as well as broadcasting online via our website and various third-party services that link to our webcast stream.

Our studio is located in the University Memorial Center on the main campus of the University of Colorado Boulder. We respectfully acknowledge that our station facilities occupy the ancestral and unceded territory of the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute communities.

What we do with your data

We do not collect data about you, your computer, or your location when you visit the Radio 1190 website.

When you listen to the internet stream, your high-level geographic location (i.e. city and country) is collected if available, as well as the browser or device type you are using to tune in. This data is stored for internal purposes such as listener traffic counts, but is not shared with anyone outside of the Radio 1190 core staff.

When you sign up for our newsletter or submit a contact form from the website, the name and email address you provide will be used for contact purposes. We will not share this information with anyone outside of Radio 1190.

When you email a Radio 1190 staff member, that email may be retained by the University of Colorado under the university’s data retention policy.
