Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2025 Review

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place. If you know one thing about your co-print editor, Grace Moore (me), you know that I love the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. I have seen every single one. I even found the first few that were only shown in Time Square on Youtube and sat through them even though they were really boring. This year’s show was anything but.

The event last year was the first one back after the big cancellation of the exhibition in 2018 for promoting unhealthy beauty standards, but what doesn’t these days! Now, the VS fashion show is back.

Last year’s show was probably the most extravagant, over the top thing I’ve ever seen on TV. This year, Victoria’s Secret settled into their new image of being more body positive without being over the top. The event started with a section that featured the original girls such as Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Jasmine Tookes. Each segment used to have names to fit the themes, but this year they weren’t.

This first section was golden greek goddess gorgeousness, or at least that’s what I’d call it. As a VS Fashion Show old head the introduction was definitely my favorite part of the show. Seeing the faces of people like Swanepoel and Lima really does bring a soothing feeling to me that is probably too far for a parasocial relationship. They are like old friends to me.

Then, there was a performance by Madison Beer during the second section. I’m not the biggest Madison Beer fan but her music is cute, sexy and girly which was absolutely perfect for the exhibition. I’d name this section the pink flamingo, Vegas showgirl, diva section. This part was opened by Gigi Hadid and Anok Yai but after that it was just new models.

Next was the PINK part of the show. The PINK section is for the younger audience. It is always for newer angels to prove that they’re worthy of being back next year and maybe even earning their wings. Back in the day, the Victoria’s Secret Angels only got wings if they had contracts to come back year after year. Now it seems that they let anyone have wings. That would make me upset if I thought about it for too long, but I’d rather not get mad about a fashion show for 15 year old girls.

The PINK section is always the tackiest. In the old show the PINK section was always my favorite because it really made the night what it is: over the top, stupid, campy. They have had themes like skiing, sporty and candy.

Next came the celebrity part of the event. That’s fine by me because it’s funny to see the big names of today wear underwear that looks like it was the first thong their mom let them buy.

This section of the show had a performance by TWICE, a K-pop girl group. I am personally not a K-pop person, but I can appreciate a girl group. They fit the vibe of the PINK section perfectly. They wore tacky, pink outfits with huge furry boots while they danced to songs that you can’t understand because these girls just learned English. How perfect. I can’t imagine how someone could not be obsessed with this. Everything is just too much. Everything’s pink, sparkly and hilarious.

The night was wrapped up with a performance by Missy Elliot. I thought it was a great way to end the show. That performance has everything. I mean it was just nonstop. The show had so many dancers in full metallic costumes, and Elliot came down on a platform from the ceiling. This is exactly what Victoria’s Secret should be. Missy sang “One Minute Man,” “Get Ur Freak On,” “Work It” and “Lose Control.” The show ended the same as always with all the angels coming out on stage together to celebrate the end of another year of hard work.

This show means so much to me. There is really nothing else on TV as insane as any of this and I’m so glad it’s back in business. The 2025 exhibit was very well done and I can’t wait to see what they do next year.
