University of Colorado V. University of Cincinnati meet for their week-9 match up at Folsom Field. Colorado has shown major improvement under the management of Coach Deion Sanders and Cincinnati is only two plays away from being undefeated this season making this an important game as the winner decided who will advance on in the fight for the Big 12 title.
[Q1 12:18] Quarterback Sanders was sacked early within the quarter.
[Q1 11:46] Jimmy Horn Jr [#5} completed a 57 yard pass in an attempt at a touchdown that was then revoked under an unsportsmanlike penalty, keeping the score at 0-0.However soon after ay 9:32 QB Shedeur Sanders [#2] passed to Travis Hunter [#12], scoring their first touch down from Hunter.
[Q1 6:01] Cincinnati scores their first touchdown a few minutes later with a 6 yard pass from [#2}QB Sorsby to [#0] Tony Johnson.Throughout the remainder of the second half of the quarter, Colorado continue to drive the ball upfield.
[End of Q1] In the last second of the first quarter, QB Sanders completes a 4 yard run for their second TD followed by another successful field goal by Alejandro Mata[#16]. This left the score 14-7 Colorado at the end of the first quarter.
[Q2 10:04] Intercepted by Colorado’s Preston Hodge [#24] but was later revoked under a pass interference penalty for Hodge. Later at 9:31 Cincinnati scored with a 13 yard run leaving Colorado and Cincinnati tied at 14-14.
[Q2 4:30] A 29 yard gained with a completed pass to Travis Hunter [#12]. At 3:28 Alejandro Mata completes a 3 point, 28 yard field goal.
[End of 2nd Quarter} Shedeur Sanders sends a 34 yard Touchdown pass to Travis Hunter [#12] with three seconds left on the clock ending the 2nd quarter at 24-14 Colorado.
[Q3] Cincinnati runs the ball down the field throughout the beginning of the quarter but then turns over to Colorado for a 46 yard punt return at 8:51. Colorado then swiftly drives the ball into the goldzone at 5:41 where Isaiah Augustave [#23] makes a 7 yard touchdown run.
[End of 3rd Quarter] The quarter ends at 31-14 Colorado.
[Q4 15:00] In a 13 yard rush Shilo Sanders [#21] receives a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct giving Cincinnati the 1st and 10 at the 50. Then at 9:59 Hodge [#24] successfully defends a pass from Cincinnati’s Sorsby [#2] to Johnson [#0] in the end zone.
[Q4 9:20] Cincinnati’s Nathan Hawks [#96] makes a field goal, leaving the score 31-17, Colorado.
[Q4 3:51] Cincinnati’s Sorsby completes a 6 yard touchdown pass to [#11]Joe Royer. Minutes later Colorado’s Mata completed a 47 yard field goal at 1:39 solidifying the score at 34-23 Colorado.
In the post game press conference Coach Deion Sanders reflects on their sixth win of the season, which makes Colorado bowl eligible, saying “We really want that, but that’s not all we’re after” Shedeur Sanders who rushed 40 yards this game praised the teams adaptability.
