Concert Review: Slowdive @ Ogden Theatre

Since their revival in 2014, Slowdive has come back into the spotlight. Their self-titled 2017 release was well received by critics and fans alike. When I found out I had the opportunity to see their live show I was very excited. Fortunately, they did not disappoint.

A large sound and extravagant light set-up helped exaggerate the stage presence of this five piece band. The set came in at a little over an hour and a half, which felt like the perfect length. Their songs from the newest album and songs from their old albums blended seamlessly live, even though they sound stylistically different on the recordings.

The crowd was very into the music, but not too excited. Everybody was there to have a good time and there was a very positive vibe throughout. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend that anybody with the opportunity take the chance to see Slowdive.
