Philadelphia Spotlight: Earthboy

Earthboy is a five-piece band from the greater Philadelphia area. Nat Hilton (guitar and vocals), Henry McDevitt (synth), Lyle Seitz (bass), Sofian Zapf (guitar), and Uriah Killinger (drums) came together to record their first EP in late 2017. These guys played together in high school, and four out of the five have known each other since elementary. Today, some of them are studying at Penn State University, Temple University, and University of the Arts, all located in the greater Philadelphia area. Their first full length EP was released January 6th, 2018 and features five tracks. From the opening track Drug Store Romeo, the listener gets an upbeat and driving guitar riff that sets the mood for the rest of the album. The lyrics on each track are wonderfully simplistic and tell various stories. This is a nice album to chill out, or get up and dance to, it has the best of both worlds. On their Bandcamp, they also have two singles; Drug Store Romeo (also featured on their EP), and Palm Trees (released June 25th, 2017.) Earthboy will be back on November 2nd with two brand new tracks that will be available on all streaming platforms. Earthboy can be found on Facebook and Instagram, where you can keep up with their latest shows and releases. If you are ever in the Philly area, these guys are a great group to see live!
